I wired this directly to my battery on my motorcycle, after installing an in-line fuse. It would be nice if it included a fuse so there would be one less electrical connection to make, but I knew it didnt haveone when I got it.
Anyway, I poked the USB end out underneath my seat and zip tied it to the frame next to my battery tender plug. After a 4 day, 1400 mile trip, during which it rained for 2 days and nights straight, the USB conection continues to work.
I plug the charging wire into the USB, and put the phone in my jacket pocket or saddle bag. It is nice to have it 100% charged when I get off the bike, especially since I dont have to remember to pack a seperate charger. I ended up charging my buddy's phones too, when we stopped to eat or whatever. Would be good for running pandora/gps/maps/etc while you ride too.
